3. Paperless Public Speaking
I found one thing common among an Annual Meet of my old college, a Launch party of a famous apparel brand and the Farewell of a veteran at the office. IELTS Writing: Essay Topic 1
Here is the question statement:
"CHILDREN IN MANY COUNTRIES ARE EATING MORE FAST FOOD AND CONVENIENCE SNACKS.
WHY ARE CHILDREN DOING THIS AND HOW SERIOUS ARE THE CONSEQUENCES?”
All those preparing for IELTS, I advise you not to start typing as soon as you read the statement. First think of points to justify your stand. Let's start with some brainstorming:
POINTS FOR 'WHY ARE CHILDREN DOING THIS?'
- working mothers
- advertisements
- friends and peer pressure
POINTS FOR 'HOW SERIOUS ARE THE CONSEQUENCES?'
- health problems
- obesity
Think of as many points as you can and type them as comments to this post.
I would also advise you to view these online resources on IELTS to know more about the Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking Modules. IELTS

Does the Centre influence the level of difficulty of the test?
My students across the globe have a myth that different centres present a different level of difficulty of the IELTS test. Not only across countries or regional borders, but also in the same State!
Believe me, it's impossible.
I teach students in India as well as Australia, all have the same level of difficulty.
And, the latest update is that the Reading section in Academic IELTS is really tough (another myth)!
My suggestion is that all of you should practice more and then analyze your attempts. I have found some helpful IELTS Tutorials. Browse through these to gain some useful tips on attempting the IELTS.

IELTS Results Fright
Almost every month, I get students who are preparing for IELTS. As we practice from books and Mock-attempts, I find a slight fear among my students when we talk about the results.
Why? After all, IELTS is just another exam that tests your English skills. Yes, it is a major test, which decides if you'll be comfortable conversing in English abroad.
But, it is not a matter of life and death.
If you practice well and work hard to enrich your Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening skills, good results will follow.
I found this really interesting link for students who need to check their Results for IELTS Just open the tutorial and check your results
