I might have asked this question many times,
please tell me what is the importance of the proposition for in the below sentence

I request a file
I request for a file.

Please explain the differnce between these two

Both the sentences are Grammatically wrong.
Look at the following sentences:
In the PRESENT TIME
1. I request you to pass the file to me.
2. I request you to give the file to Priya.
3. All are requested to sit down.

The Verb "request" comes with an Object in Active Voice.
Eg. in the snetences 1 and 2 the object "you" is used.

But, sentence 3 is in Passive Voice, there is no need for an object.

The verb request always comes with the object? Please tell me how the below sentence sounds?
